Dave Leins first played bass with a band called the Calvins. Soon after their disenchanting conclusion, Dave took a hiatus from music to focus on a baseball career.

Some years after that, his friend's father Terry (BP Guitar player) knew he was an active musician working on his own band and asked if Dave was interested in playing bass for the Bobby Pennock Band. The rest is history...
